The battle was waged across the planet, from the industrial to political centers, and even the underworld, killing an untold number of civilians. Major casualties included Jedi Grand Master Sigur Vainikainen, who was killed by Darth Vereor, the Dark Lord of the Sith; and Mandalore himself, Corden Vencu. By the battle's end, the Dark Lord was joined by the Sith Empress, Andraste, and together they harnessed a massive level of Force energy and directed it at the Force nexus beneath the Jedi Temple. Once released, the attack sent out a tidal wave of energy that devastated Coruscant, turning the entire planet into a wasteland.
