The original version of the Regime was formed in early 2003 when the EUWC started its Reborn phase and Matt Pickstock was hired as the EUWC Commissioner. He had originally started having heated arguments with "Mr. Main Event" Rob Sampson that he decided that he needed to create a group that could handle his problems physically. Enter Samuel Roundtree, who had proven to be the muscle backing Pickstock's mouth as he was selected by Pickstock to be his special enforcer. Later, former World Champion "The Ironman" Buck Naked also joined his half-brother in the Regime. Prominent Superstars such as Paul Doom, Lord Alucard, Jay Smash, Nero, Big G/Lynch Garrison, Sevyn, HICAL, and Scott Samson have been members of the first and original Regime.
