I Won't Be Silenced is a single by Helena Fasesha. The song is a politically charged ballad, discussing the 2016 Presidential election, the women's march, and the racial violence in the USA. Upon release, the single received positive reviews for it's topic and emotional lyrics that refer to Fasesha's two daughters Anika and Lia. The song also gathered controversy for a lyric in which Fasesha refers to God as a woman. Helena revealed in April 2017 that she has removed the song from her fourth studio album Americana due to the fact that she didn't want to make it a political album.
