The skeleton warrior is the alternate upgrade of the skeleton, the first-level Necropolis creature in Heroes of Might and Magic V. The skeleton warrior has better attack and damage than the skeleton archer, and much higher defense, but the biggest difference is that skeleton warriors use their shields to protect themselves and others from ranged attacks (similarly to the squire), while lacking the archer's ability to attack from afar. It is also protected against enemy spells.
