John Alexander VC (Mullingar, County Westmeath, Ireland birth date unknown, died 24 September 1857) was an Irish recipient of the Victoria Cross (VC), the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to a member of the British and Commonwealth forces. Alexander was a private in the 90th Perthshire Light Infantry (later known as The Cameronians (Scottish Rifles)), British Army during the Crimean War when the following deed took place for which he was awarded the VC:
