Marlyn Geffers is the only daughter to a single mother. Her father abandoned her mother when he found out she was pregnant. Marlyn has never been a normal girl. She's loved catching Spinarak and scaring her classmates with them. She also loves to sabotage anything she is forced to do but doesn't actually want to do. Marlyn's always been the top of her class, though. Pokémon school was never difficult for someone like Marlyn who claimed to have an ability to talk with Pokémon. Although she wasn't the first to claim this (three others from a faraway land had also said they have a similar gift), nobody believed her.
