The 28th presidential election of Lecrotia was held between 23 September and 28 September 2000, after Alberto Pirozzi's term expired. The three runners for president were Aldo Brighi from the Democratic Party, Ercole Gallo, candidate from the Conservative Party and Francesco Mazza from the Communist Party.
