Alf is impressed by the new houses and considers buying one, thinking Audrey will be thrilled. Liz admits to Jim that she isn't keen on Johnny staying as he's army. Ivy wonders if she should swallow her pride and work for Mike. Don encourages her to form a workers' cooperative, undercutting Mike. Ivy isn't sure as she doesn't know anything about business. Audrey refuses to let Alf buy one of the new houses - she wants to move away from the Street. Ivy and Don tell Emily about the cooperative and ask her to help with the financial side. Emily is excited by the idea and tells them how to get in touch with Peter Ingram.
