BMC was primarily responsible for the massive pollution in Lock Lake at the time of Ultima VII, which lead the Great Council to pass legislation to clean up the lake. The mines rely on gargoyle labour and have been known to use silver serpent venom to boost performance. The BMC is, as later revealed, under the control of the Fellowship, and mainly there to mine Blackrock for the construction of the Black Gate.
