The galaxy was one of the uncountable number of galaxies that existed in the universe. It contained the existence of thousands, if not millions, of varieties of sapient species in throughout, and was dominated by three major galactic powers. The most powerful galactic power was the Attar Imperium, a tightly controlled empire of the Attar species. The Attar Imperium was considered to be the most powerful of the galactic powers. The second was the Tellus Coalition; a loose alliance between Tellus worlds originally conceived to defend against the attempted genocide by the third galactic power, the Saith Dominion. The Saith Dominion, and indeed the Saith species as a whole, are a highly xenophobic species that attempted to wipe out the Tellus out of fear of their "gods".
