The Restaurant Manager was in charge of David and Irma Barlow's wedding reception on 8th December 1965. David and Irma had booked a private table at his restaurant but friends and relatives of the couple arranged with the manager to surprise them on the day. After ushering the guests behind a screen, the manager sat the newlyweds at their table and presented them with a wedding cake. David told the manager he'd not ordered it, to which the man replied that he didn't say that he had - which was the guests' cue to come out from behind the screen and congratulate them on their nuptials.
