King Aliphim was the ruler of the Isle of the Crown around the time that Prince Cocteau became the beast, nearly 100 years before Alexander became king of the islands. King Aliphid and Queen Astar were likely his parents or grandparents. Aliphim went to investigate sounds coming from the Isle of the Forest, but the beast's growl haunted him for the rest of his days. The island became known as the Isle of the Beast.
