Tom Joseph Thibodeau (born January 17, 1958) is an American basketball coach who last coached the Chicago Bulls. Thibodeau served as assistant coach for 6 different NBA franchises. While serving as assistant coach for the Boston Celtics under Doc Rivers he help lead the Celtics to a NBA championship in 2008. In 2010 Tibodeau became head coach of the Chicago Bulls where he led the Bulls to 5 straight playoff appearances and earned 2011 NBA Coach of the Year. Thibodeau was ultimately fired on May 28th 2015 after the Bulls were eliminated by the Cavaliers in the 2015 Conference Semifinals.
