Krzemien graduated from Southern Illinois University with a BA in Cinema & Photography. He also wrote the stories for The Twilight Zone episode "Kentucky Rye" together with Delree F. Todd (1985, with Scott Jaeck, John DeMita, and Tim Russ) and for the War of the Worlds episode "Dust to Dust" (1989, with Richard Chaves). In 2001 he created the comic art book "The Writer at Work" for which he received several awards.
