Kansas is a U.S. State located in the Midwestern United States. It is featured in L. Frank Baum's The Land of Oz. The main character of the story, Dorothy, lives there before she is transported into the magical world of Oz by a cyclone. In Beyond the Kingdoms, Alex, Conner, Mother Goose, Lester, Goldilocks, Jack and Red travel into the story and the Land of Oz in persuit of the Masked Man.
