Louis Gatto is a former NASCAR driver from Bloomfield, NJ. He competed in three Nextel Cup Series events in his career. Gatto's debut came in 1978, when he competed at Dover. Starting 37th (last) in the field, Gatto was black flagged after just five laps and was left to a 35th place finish. Gatto's other two races, both in 1979, weren't terribly much better. Engine problems on the 26th lap at Dover left Gatto a mediocre 27th (still career best) at Dover, and then ignition issues at Pocono brought Gatto home 36th.
