Hans Brauer, when first encountered in "A Deadly Game", is a consummate espionage professional, not turning a hair or backing down in the slightest from Beckett in "the box". Mr. Brauer runs into Castle, who has picked up the deceased Roger Farraday's mission along with his self-destruct pen, at Cafe Moulin and exchanges sign and countersign with him, after Castle struck out with the French redhead who was his previous potential contact.
