Aneta Šmrhová was a female Human Starfleet tactical officer who spoke with a Slavic accent. She was born in the Czech city of Ostrava. (TNG - Cold Equations novel: Silent Weapons) By 2381, Šmrhová served aboard the USS Enterprise-E as a relief bridge officer. She was in the command center when the Enterprise traversed a subspace tunnel with the USS Aventine to end up near the Carina Arm, and detected energy signatures matching Hirogen vessels on long-range sensors. The two Starfleet vessels were unable to escape before the Hirogen attacked. During the assault, the console Šmrhová was working at began to overload and she was pushed out of the way by T'Ryssa Chen before it exploded. When the Hirogen hunters boarded the ship, Šmrhová and second officer Miranda Kadohata escorted the junior off
