Elsie confronts Janet who breaks down, telling her all she wants is a man as she's so lonely. Elsie tells Janet that Alan is hers and she's going to fight for him. Janet gives in. Elsie forces her to go to the Rovers with her where they shock the residents by drinking together before Elsie makes sure she leaves the area for good. Maggie accuses Betty of not keeping her mouth shut and blabbing to Elsie. Dave Smith offers Lucille her job back when the insurance money comes through. She tells him to stick it. Bet bumps into Frank Bradley and when he asks about Lucille she realises it was him who mugged her.
