"Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard" was performed by Paul Simon to a group of kids in a season 8 Sesame Street segment. One enthusiastic girl, seated near Paul on the stoop of 123 Sesame Street, improvises her own lyrics during the instrumental sections, and joins in, if slightly off, during other portions. The original studio version of the song is used over the opening credits in The Muppets.
