The South Plains is an area of the Land where the soil is not so generous and where few people live with only five Stonedowns being located here. They were once in sever drought at the time Atiaran and Trell were to be wed. On the eve of the wedding Trell found a piece of Orcrest. In an attempt to end the drought Atiaran prayed a song to the earth known by the Loresraat and Trell broke the Orcrest with his fingers.
