Faant was the second planet in the Kintir star system in the Klingon Empire in the Beta Quadrant, bordering the Orion Neutrality Area. It was the only class M planet in its system, and it had three moons and a 24 hour-long day. Faant had a warm temperate climate and a terrestrial class M atmosphere, making it wet and steamy. It was ideal for Klingon food crops, and became an agricultural world for the Empire. It was described by Orion traders as damp, overcrowded, gloomy and uninteresting, and thus perfect for the Klingons themselves.
