Field Marshal, also known as Marshal and General of the Army, was the highest rank one could achieve in the Army and the third highest military rank. It was the equivalent to the naval rank, Fleet Admiral. It was rarely bestowed upon a being because of the power associated with the rank. The Field Marshal had the power to control the ground forces of a faction, thus giving them the power to challenge the government. The Field Marshal's insignia contained five-stars, one more star than a General and two more than Lieutenant General.
