Touya is in fact an alternate version of Touya Kinomoto from Cardcaptor Sakura. Touya Kinomoto shares a relationship with his reality's Yukito, though it is implied to be closer than the friendship in Tsubasa Chronicle. Additionally, Touya Kinomoto has the ability to see ghosts, an ability not shared by King Touya (or apparently the alternate Touyas). There is one trait of Touya Kinomoto that is shared by the alternates, however: popping up at random points in the story in various menial jobs. This was a running joke in the series Cardcaptor Sakura.
