The unnamed Young Man and his friend were drinking outside a country pub when Val and Irma Barlow arrived with Ken and David in tow. The two husbands went in to get the drinks and the lads, under the mistaken impression that they had been bothering the women, made a beeline for them to help "rescue" them. Val and Irma kidded them along and got a gin and tonic out of them. Ken and David were bemused when they returned with their purchased order but left them to it.
