Susan Ryan was an Archaeology 101 student at Marshall College whom Indiana Jones was seducing in 1936. As a professor, Jones had suggested revisions for her term paper on "Archaeological Artifacts and Folklore". They were together at the archaeologist's home when Marcus Brody arrived to tell Jones that the US Government had agreed on him being the man to find the Ark of the Covenant.
