Chesley Bonestell (January 1, 1888 – June 11, 1986) was an artist and painter of science fiction themes. In 2364, Bonestell paintings appeared on the walls of William Riker's room on Farpoint Station when he commented that he preferred images of space to the paintings that had been there before.
