No, he just wants control of Ichigo's body I don't think he CAN kill Ichigo. Since all three of them (Ichigo, hollow, Zangetsu) are the same person basically, I believe if Ichigo was defeated by his inner hollow, he would assume the position that hollow Ichigo has right now- whereby the hollow would control the body and Ichigo would be locked away inside his own consciouness.
