Altari are a reptilian species from the world of Nuria, which they share with the avian Litaka. They are a peaceful species, obsessed with exploration and discovery ever since Litakan scientists were unable to find even a single pre-sentient ancestor of the Altari on Nuria. After years of searching, specialists from both species concluded that the Altari origin had to be off-world. This eventually resulted in the first nurian space mission, and the Altari starfaring tradition continues until today. In 100 BBY, the Altari had already colonized large parts of their home system, while the Litaka were more reluctant to leave Nuria.
