Mary Goodnight was a fictional employee of the Secret Intelligence Service (SIS/MI6). The character first appeared in the Ian Fleming novel On Her Majesty's Secret Service and subsequently appeared in You Only Live Twice, The Man with the Golden Gun and The Property of a Lady. She was also reintroduced in Jeffery Deaver's 2011 James Bond novel Carte Blanche. In 1974 the character appeared in the EON Productions film adaptation of The Man with the Golden Gun as an inexperienced field operative, portrayed by actress Britt Ekland.
