King Oliver appears in the Sesame Street story "The Kingdom of O." While he and Queen Olivia dine on overcooked onions, Elmo the weary traveler comes to their palace in search for the Kingdom of E. King Oliver favors Elmo’s decision in changing their kingdom to the Kingdom of E, even approving his own name being changed to "King Ed," and summons the royal tailor and painter to redecorate the entire kingdom.
