Boo only knew of his parents through the ever changing stories occasionally passed down from his owner and employer, a heavyset Zabrak by the name of Jerok. Some days he'd claim that the boy's parents had been taken away to a remote prison for some heinous crime; other days, they were no more than a couple of lowly smugglers, either dead or still running from all sorts of mercs and bounty hunters. No matter what the tale, each of them seemed to conclude in the same manner - that is with Boo's parents owing Jerok a lot of money and desperately offering their only child as compensation. Feeling 'compassionate,' as the Zabrack often worded it, he accepted the slobbering infant into his home, where he was eventually made into a servant.
