Eliot Richards is a former Rovers trainee, who came through the old Rovers centre of excellence in the Bristol Academy of Sport, before the youth team was brought back under the auspices of the football club. He plays as a striker and graduated to the professional ranks at the club in 2009, along with seven other first-year professionals; Neikell Plummer, Dan Cayford, Mark Cooper, Ollie Clarke, George Booth, Steve Kingdon and Jack McKenna. He has been capped by the Welsh Under-19 side, making his debut for them on 5 May 2010 in a match against Northern Ireland.
