Aestia was established around the important port city of Königsberg, the central port city for the Province of Scythia, which Aestia was part of during its Roman times. The Aesti were a small people who performed mostly as the merchant class in Königsberg. The King of Aestia before the Roman invasion, who named the city prior to its domination by the Romans which is why its name literally means 'mountain of the King'. The last traditional king of what the Aesti called the Old Kingdom was named Albrecht and was remembered in the cultural consciousness of the Aestians.
