Takesasu was a plant that had a barbed tip containing a paralytic toxin. When it sensed movement in the vicinity, it lashed out an attempt to inject the toxin into its prey. The paralyzed creature was pumped with digestive acids by Takesasu, making him sludge to feed the plant. Over the years, some maho-tsukai had transported stalks of takesasu into Rokugan, and several cultists altered the plant to attack only non-Tainted humans.
