The unnamed Landlord was the landlord of The Flying Horse pub, where Ciaran McCarthy applied for a job as chef in January 2011. He attempted to break up an argument between Ciaran and Nick Tilsley, who had offered reformed alcoholic Peter Barlow a drink. Ciaran told the landlord he no longer wanted the job and the three were told to leave.
