Arcamir was a Noble of Gondor who served as the King's Ambassador to the Woodland realm. As a guest at Thranduil's Halls he fell in love with the beautiful elf maiden Nandeli which raised the jealousy of Thancalion, a Captain of Thranduil's Guard who was secretly in love with her. When Thancalion was trying to bring Nandeli to task the couple had a violent dispute. Eventually Nandeli came to death — found lying face down beneath the surface of the Nen Amon (S. Hill Stream"), impaled by the portcullis, by her side. A thin knife wound just below her left ear that corresponded to the dagger carried by Arcamir.
