The Third World War, also known as World War III, was a global conflict, triggered by an invasion of the United States by forces from the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics during 1972. The Allies had won the war, but the rise of Yuri forced them to use the time machine to repeat the war to stop the psychic from taking over the world.
