The Packrat class was a type of freighter used mainly on the outer trade routes of the Solarian League in the 16th Century PD. They were 650 meters long, massed about a million tons, had a 1G toroidal spin section, and six transfer shuttles. The standard crew completment was twenty-five, with room for fifty or sixty additional passengers. There were several variants of this class. The Wanderer was a Packrat III ship. (MA1)
