Kiam was a group of five BFF-1 bulk freighters used by the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War. After the Imperial-class Star Destroyer Intrepid's hyperdrive was damaged in an accidental collision with an EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate, leaving it stranded in the Circarpous system, Kiam group was sent to deliver replacement parts. Kiam I, Kiam II and Kiam IV, which were carrying sensors, supplies, and machinery respectively, were not destroyed in the attack.
