A confident experience fighter pilot Broadside flew alongside his good friend Matchstick during the Republic attack on Grievous' giant warship, the Malevolence. Eager Broadside welcomed the chance to be one of the first Republic pilots to fly a Y-wing fighter. Pilots are superstitious and most have rituals they follow to make sure they return to base safely. For Broadside and Matchstick, the good luck charm is to take turns agreeing to buy drinks when they make it through each new Republic mission.
