New Mountaintop is a stage similar to Mountaintop. It has 5 screens: the first screen has the 1st enemy of each stage from Cavern 4 to Snowfield 8 (Grey shield bat + White shield bat + Green shield bat, and so on), the 2nd stage has the 2nd enemies that appear in those stages (Red shield bat + Pink shield zombie + Orange shield bat, and so on), following similar suit for stage three as well. The 4th stage contains the three underwater enemies of the Cavern series. Lastly, the 5th stage contains the bosses from: Cavern 4-6, all of Snowfield, all of Mountain, the four final Mountaintop bosses, and the Frozen Lake boss.
