The group began as The Osborn Sisters, but the group had changed its name by the time its first hits were released. The group's name is derived from a Navajo slang word meaning "my (little) sister". SHeDAISY has charted a total of fourteen singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts and has released more than five successful albums as of 2008. They have won or been nominated for a number of awards for their music. They are songwriters as well as performers.
