Jenny Butler was the biological mother of Faye Windass. In a relationship with Tim Metcalfe, she gave birth to their only child in March 2002. When Faye was two, Tim walked out on Jenny leaving her to raise their daughter alone. Faye was taken into care sometime later and moved in with Eddie and Anna Windass permanently in April 2011. Social worker Hilary Pugsley advised the family that Jenny died of a suspected heroin overdose.
