The technique is achieved through the flowing of chakra to the uppermost part of the user's skin and is spread out until a complete layer of energy is formed. This process is then repeated at the user's discretion until there is a satisfactory number of layers upon the user's skin. Finally, a final layer of flare-themed chakra is added, forming a multi-layered, second skin composed entirely of chakra. This second-skin is exceptionally durable and is capable of meeting the temperatures and concussive forces produced by the Flare Release. However, its defensive capabilities do not stop there. The Kindling Armor is more than capable of deflecting projectiles launched by an opponent, such as kunai or shuriken, and can even withstand a direct sword strike (depending upon the number of layers).
