Axe of Fechmar is a normal unique Large Axe from Diablo II. A bit similar to fellow unique axe, Rakescar, Axe of Fechmar has an affinity for Cold. Strangely enough, it does not deal Cold Damage; it does freeze targets, however. The first two-handed unique axe, the Axe of Fechmar is very useful at stopping your enemies in their tracks, allowing you to take them down without being struck. It also has a large Cold Resist bonus, making it useful against certain bosses.
