From Louisville, KY. Trombonist, member of the Whole Wheat Horns, older brother of Terry Adams, and originator of the name NRBQ. Occasionally sang lead vocals for the band, for example on his own composition "Dry Up and Blow Away", and on covers like "North To Alaska" and "Wooly Bully". Donn also performed as fictional bandleader Don Early in a lounge-act parody offshoot from NRBQ, and as Dill Spears in the Dickens, another Q offshoot parodying heavy rock. Donn is also an engineer; he left steady employment at Boeing to tour with the band.
