Mel Krueger is a former NASCAR driver from Anita, IA. He competed in five Nextel Cup Series events in his career, earning one top-ten. Krueger's debut came in 1953, when he competed at Rapid City. Starting positions in all of his races that year are unknown, but Kreuger recorded a solid 12th place finish at Rapid Valley. He then struggled to 17th (of 18) at North Platte before ending the year with a career-best 7th at Davenport.
