Giant bugs. They're bugs or muppets or Serkis Folk, whichever, but all are mad creepy. They have no individuality or intelligence, except possibly a Hive Mind. Nobody really worries too much about the morality of killing them. See also Giant Spider and Bug War. If they're from space, they're Insectoid Aliens. If they have a lust for galactic domination, they're a Horde of Alien Locusts. A subset of Attack of the 50 Foot Whatever. These are especially common in prehistoric settings.
