The Flaxians were a humanoid spacefaring species who originated from the planet Flaxos. Some members of the species were known to work as assassins. The julasa was a blade used by the Flaxians. (Last Unicorn RPG module: Raiders, Renegades & Rogues) In 2371, Retaya, a male Flaxian, was hired by the Tal Shiar to kill Elim Garak. Garak realised Retaya's intentions and destroyed his own store to interfere with Retaya's plan and implicate the Flaxian. Retaya had been planning to poison Garak. (DS9 episode: "Improbable Cause")
